The Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology (MSPP) seeks a Chair to direct its APA-accredited Clinical Psychology Program. A vibrant, growing institution, MSPP offers graduate degrees in four disciplines: Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Organizational and Leadership Psychology, and School Psychology. The curriculum incorporates rigorous academic instruction with supervised field training in a variety of settings. In response to evolving and diverse mental health needs, the school emphasizes culturally competent training.

Reporting to the Vice President of Academic Affairs, the Chair will bear principal responsibility for the oldest and largest department, Clinical Psychology. While leading and supporting faculty in best practices in pedagogies, efforts will also focus on student outcomes and APA accreditation compliance. Other duties include having responsibility for faculty recruitment; professional development; contracting and some teaching responsibilities.

The Chair will hold a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology and be eligible to be licensed as a clinical psychologist in Massachusetts. The candidate must possess a record of teaching, scholarship, and academic leadership. The new Clinical Chair will be an inclusionary leader, a strong fiscal manager, a proponent of scholarship, an experienced clinician, an accomplished teacher, and an effective communicator.
